Seams. The
holy grail of case making is to make a seamless case. Well that's
impossible with currently technology available to cue case makers.
I am constantly playing with ways to close the seam and here are
several solutions.
Riveting is the easiest, followed by lacing.
Straight lacing is fairly easy, cross-lacing is harder and lace
braiding is harder still.
The hardest seam type is the
closed-loop blind seam. This type of seam can only be sewn by
hand or with a very special uncommon sewing machine. The machine can
only do straight lines. We don't own that machine so all of of
our blind seam work is by hand. This is meticulous and hard work.
The result is worth it .
